Betta fish cubicle buddy showing off

It has been about a month since my go from a nice creative work area with nice huge windows that let in sunshine and the greenness of outside…. to an all gray cubicle with terrible light and not an ounce of sunshine or green. It is also very lonely and silent so I chose that I needed to liven up the place. I chose I needed a plant but I had to get one that did not require a lot of sun. I did some research on plants that do well in offices and upon my searching, I saw a picture of a vase with a water plant and a betta in it. Wow, so cute and just what would liven up my cubicle. Soooo, I researched my find and learned that setup was really not very nice for the fish but that I could tweak it to be the perfect home for a betta fish. So the quest was on, to find and make a nice home for a new friend. I went to Ross because I know they are decently priced and may have something I could use. I found the perfect glass for the vase/bowl and it was only bucks! It is large enough to fit a plant, rocks and enough water for my betta to live comfortably. The next day I went to Petco on my lunch break to find a plant and a betta. Bamboo makes the perfect plant for this setup because it doesn’t need sunlight and doesn’t take up too much room from the fish. Lastly, all I needed was to pick the perfect cubemate (fish). They all looked kinda sad in those small containers but I found one that looked lively and in excellent health. It’s nearly been 2 weeks and my buddy is doing fantastic. He
